Capital stewarded
for generations, not quarters.

David Holdings advises private families and individuals on the whole of their financial life — from a written investment policy and a considered asset allocation to estate, taxation, and the disciplined management of the portfolios that follow. The plan comes first; the portfolio is its consequence.

Our approach

Four chapters,
in this order.

Every family relationship follows the same deliberate cadence. We do not begin investing until the plan is written, debated, and signed.

01
Discovery & profiling
We map the household balance sheet, liquidity needs, philanthropic intent, and succession concerns, then complete a documented risk profile for each principal.
02
Investment policy
A written investment policy statement sets the strategic asset allocation, return objective, and constraints. It is signed by the family and governs every subsequent decision.
03
Construction
Portfolios are built in tranches across equities, bonds, mutual funds, and retirement vehicles, with estate, will, and tax structures drafted in parallel by our advisory desk.
04
Stewardship
Quarterly reviews, an annual policy refresh, and rebalancing within agreed bands keep the estate aligned to the plan as markets and family circumstances change.
Illustrative allocation

The plan, expressed
as an allocation.

A representative strategic allocation for a balanced family mandate. Weights are illustrative placeholders and are set per household in the investment policy statement.

Questions, answered

On engaging the
wealth practice.

A few of the questions families raise before their first meeting. Anything further is best discussed in person.

What size of estate do you typically advise?
The wealth practice is built for families with investable assets in the region of ₹ 5 crore and above, though we make exceptions where a relationship is long-term in nature. The intent is depth of attention, not a minimum for its own sake.
Is the mandate discretionary or advisory?
Both are offered. Under a discretionary mandate the firm acts within the bounds of your signed investment policy statement; under an advisory mandate every decision is referred to you. Many families combine the two across different pools of capital.
How is the investment policy statement used?
It is the governing document of the relationship. It records your objectives, risk tolerance, liquidity needs, allocation ranges, and any exclusions, and it is the reference against which we review the portfolio each quarter and refresh it each year.
Do you handle estate, will, and tax matters directly?
Our advisory desk drafts the investment-related elements of estate and succession planning and coordinates taxation consultancy alongside your portfolio. Where formal legal execution is required we work with your counsel, or introduce one from our panel.
How are fees structured?
Fees are set out in writing before any mandate begins, are levied as a transparent percentage of assets under advisory, and carry no hidden commissions. All charges are disclosed in line with SEBI requirements.
How often will I hear from the firm?
You will have a standing line to the partner who holds your file, a formal review each quarter, and a policy refresh each year. Beyond that, we write when there is something that warrants your attention, and not otherwise.
